Emily is a Training & Experiences Intern at The Smarty Train, with a passion for events management and planning.

She graduated this in summer 2017 with a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent in Canterbury. In her degree she focused on international conflict resolution, with a focus on alternative conflict resolution techniques and conflict prevention.

During this time she found her home in Competitive Cheer. She competed with Kent’s Co-ed squad, Eagles, and captained the development squad, Falconettes. To fill up any remaining free time, she was also Activities Officer for Freshers in on-campus accommodation, a volunteer for Amnesty International and CoppaFeel, a breast cancer awareness charity, and a Student Ambassador for the School of Politics and International Relations.

She loves hard work, new challenges, learning new things and improving herself. Luckily, the work at TST is as varied as her interests!!

Emily loves to travel – she’s driven from Houston to L.A., hiked gorges in Crete and even frozen in the first snow of Copenhagen…

Strange but true…

She lived in Rome for 4 years, and speaks fluent Italian. She also often has future-predicting dreams.
