Put simply, James creates beautifully designed things. Also, and perhaps most importantly, he helped create The Smarty Train Brand. But there’s much more to it than that.

James has worked for lots of different clients who come in all different shapes and sizes. Individuals, companies, charities, LLPs, schools, museums and publishers have all been high-fiving around their offices after James has finished working his creative magic with their design needs. If you go to the British Museum, they’ll tell you all about how James is one of their favourite designers. We told you he was good.

James has won so many design awards that we imagine he’s had to install a second mantelpiece in his front room just to display them all. He proudly boasts a Gold TIA Award, a Sign Design Society Special Commendation and an iSTD Premier Award, among others.

Not one to keep his knowledge to himself, James has also lectured to students on design-related subjects at the London College of Printing, the Plymouth School of Art and Croydon College. So you can, it seems, teach genius.

Strange, but true...

Apparently the Olympic Stadium was built on the site of James’ great grandfather's rubber factory.
