Sam

As Associate Director of Operations, Sam uses his experience in global operations, business development and leading a large team, to help to keep The Smarty Train on track.

Sam is responsible for managing TST’s supply and demand by overseeing data analytics and reporting, providing actionable insights to the business. He also manages the successful implementation of TST’s growth strategy, through short and long-term resourcing, creating, iterating and upholding TST’s business processes, and managing and improving in-house technology solutions.

Earlier in his career, Sam conducted most of his work outside of the UK providing sports officiating with Hawk-Eye. Sam travelled across the cricketing nations leading operational teams, training new employees, and working on R&D. After several years of cricket operations, Sam moved to Melbourne to manage operations in Australasia for international and local sports, becoming an AFL and NRL fan along the way. Sam re-joined Hawk-Eye’s UK office as Director of Tennis, with responsibility for tennis operations, growth and people. During this time, Sam gained significant experience in recruitment and talent development, and the impact they have on business development.
