TST partnered with AngloAmerican's people leadership team across the integration lifecycle of a new acquisition, providing diverse forms of people support such as communications plans, media creation, leadership support, development tools and experiences, as well as advisory on the evolving employer brand.

While the initial objective was to facilitate an informed and motivated workforce through the integration, this engagement transformed into a longstanding relationship where TST became a "one-stop-shop" for a range of AngloAmerican's people needs.

TST’s approach consisted of user research to understand the needs, aspirations, and pain points of people across functions and hierarchies during the integration. This human-centred style of research ensured solutions would be effective for a range of workers, and enabled TST to identify ongoing risks and opportunities.


A highlight of the partnership included designing a new multi-media communications strategy consisting of in-person sessions, podcasts, and videos which met the information needs of a diverse workforce and ensured a smooth integration.

Another was providing data-driven line manager training and designing an easy-to-use microsite enabling self-led learning for emerging leaders – now and into the future. 89% of participants felt that the training sessions were well-structured, and 90% said they would recommend the sessions.
