Challenge

Recognising that their peoples’ expectations around careers were changing and that a traditional, linear career path to Partner was no longer universally appealing, EY’s Assurance Team sought to launch a pioneering new Audit Career Framework that would provide more flexibility and variable pace of progression based on their peoples’ personal needs and career goals.

EY’s Assurance Team approached TST to assist them in creating a launch campaign for the Framework and develop a toolkit of assets to explain what the Framework was and how to use it. The assets needed to equip EY’s people with tools to design their own unique career journeys at EY and provide clarity on potential career paths for each role type within the team.

Solution

Working closely with EY’s Global Assurance Team to understand the vision and scope for the Career Framework, The Smarty Train developed a unique brand with the theme of “Reimagine Your Career” to use in the suite of launch campaign assets. These assets included:

+ Interactive Passport: A step-by step guide to the Framework, clearly defining EY’s eight role types and bringing to life the unique career paths for each through illustrative career journeys featuring real EY people stories. The paths provided transparency and clarity on typical destination ranks in order to help career planning.

+ Communications: High-impact interactive emails introducing EY’s people to the Framework. The communications contained over 12 bespoke animated graphical elements detailing the reasons behind the Framework’s development, how to start using the passport, and key benefits for EY talent looking for flexibility in their career paths.

+ Leader Guide: A deep-dive document for EY’s business leaders and career counsellors to inform themselves of the Audit Career Framework and equip themselves to answer questions from their people. This document collated all the assets created for the campaign in one easy-to-navigate place for quick deployment by leaders.
